Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, December 18, 2011, of Shirley Elizabeth MacKinnon (nee Gallant), wife of John MacKinnon of Bear River, aged 74 years.
Mother of Vaunda MacKinnon, Marshall of Charlottetown, Bob (Pat) of Suffolk, Pamela of Charlottetown, David (Cheryl Davidson) of Scotchfort and Karen (David MacKenzie) of Bear River. Cherished grandmother to Tara (Gerry Russell), Stephanie, Emma MacKinnon and great-grandmother to Eva Mae Russell and Isabelle Danielle Russell. Special nanny to Chloe LeBrech and Addison and Neela Chaisson. Sister Enid Griffin and Leo Gallant and sisters-in-law Mary Chaisson, Rose Marie MacKinnon and Theresa MacKinnon.
Predeceased by parents Robert and Emma Gallant, brother Harold Gallant, sister Eva Conroy and son-in-law Kirk Marshall.
Resting at the Dingwell Funeral Home in Souris Tuesday, December 20, 2011 for visiting hours from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and 12-1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2011. Funeral to be held at St. Margarets Roman Catholic Church for funeral mass to be celebrated at 2 p.m. Interment in the parish cemetery.
