It is with great sadness that the family of the late Martha Dobbin of Port au Choix, NL, announce her passing on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011 at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders at the age of 68 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband, Finton; children Jacqualine (Mario), Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Michael, Robert (Brenda), Daisy (Glen), Port au Choix, and Darren (Lisa), Yellowknife, North West Territories; grandchildren Scott, John, Adam, Sarah, Joseph, Kevin, Taylor, Riley, Aimee, Amber and Ashton; siblings Kevin, Leo, Selina, Annette, Clarice, Francis, Alma, Joseph, Ann, Margaret, Peter, Dorothy and Rosemary; mother-in-law Maude Dobbin; sisters-in-law Stella, Adeliah, Phyllis and Linda; brothers-in-law Jerome, Albert, Wayne, James, Calvin and Clifford; a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Peter and Eva Kennedy, father-in-law Joseph Dobbin, brothers and sisters Clifford, Milliage, Ina and Loretta, and brother-in-law Thomas. Friends visited Fillatre’s Funeral Home in Port au Choix on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The funeral service took place on Monday, Dec. 19 at 11 a.m. at St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Lee Lainey officiating. Interment followed at the Interfaith Cemetery, Sandy Cove. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website at www.fillatre.ca.
