NEW GLASGOW – Catherine Doreen Miller, age 83, of the Glen Haven Manor and formerly of Little Harbour Road, New Glasgow, passed away Friday, December 16, 2011.
Born in Stellarton, she was a daughter of the late John Robert and Margaret (Keating) Sarson.
She was a former employee of MacLeod’s Restaurant and McRae’s Tea Room. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes and Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church and the CWL.
She is survived by a daughter, Jo Ann, Calgary; sisters: Georgina Logan, Fox Brook; Roberta Sarson, Calgary; Helen Comeau, New Glasgow; Faye (Jack) Tait, Ontario; brother, Nearing Sarson, Truro; sister-in-law, Pearl Sarson, Stellarton, several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by husband, John Joseph Miller, sisters: Edwina, Ilaine, Edna and Elizabeth, brother, Whitman.
Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral mass 11 a.m. Thursday in Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church with Father Peter MacDonald officiating. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.
