STELLARTON/NEW GLASGOW – F. Marie Taylor, 84, of the Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, formerly of Stellarton, died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, in the Manor.
Born in Stellarton, she was a daughter of the late David and Hilda (Flemming) Cummings.
Marie was a resident of the Glen Haven Manor for the past five years having been a resident of Stellarton for most of her life where she was a member of the Sharon St. John United Church and Branch 28 of the Royal Canadian Legion.
She is survived by a son, Richard, New Glasgow; daughters, Evelyn (Gary) Brown, Tatamagouche; Audrey (Colin) Chisholm, Stellarton; Cecelia (Stephen) Chaisson, Stellarton; Susan (Adrian) Copan, Stellarton; 13 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, brothers, Robert, Stellarton; Willard, British Columbia; sisters: Evelyn (Archie) Fraser, Westville; Mary (Grant) Rundle, Pictou; Isabelle (Ed) Megeney, New Glasgow; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Ernest Richard â€Tinker†Taylor; brothers: David, Edmund and William; a sister, Audrey Benelli, and a twin brother and sister in infancy.
Her remains will rest in the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton, for visiting from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday with Rev. John Roy officiating.
Burial will take place in the Brookside Cemetery, New Glasgow.
Donations in memory of Marie may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
