It is with great sadness the family of Doris "Fear" Gaillard, age 89, of Springhill announce her passing on Friday, November 13, 2009 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre.



Born in Springhill, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Elizabeth (Lawrence) Fear and a member of the All Saints Anglican Church.



Doris was a loving mother, avid card and crib player. She loved watching CMT and "Sid the Kid". She enjoyed crossword puzzles, and receiving pictures of her children; 23 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, who will miss her greatly. Doris worked as a housekeeper before marrying her husband, Arthur and becoming a full time homemaker.



Doris will be sadly missed by her, daughters, Rochelle Austin, Moncton; Janet Domville, Halifax; sons, Kenn (Muriel), Truro, Ralph, Amherst, Bill, Springhill; sister, Ruth (Henry) LeBlanc, Amherst and brother, Ken (Alice) Fear, Summerside, PEI.



She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur ; sons, Arthur "Artie" and Robert "Bob"; sisters, Helen, Leona, Marion and brothers Ralph and Jack.



Cremation has taken place under the direction of A. H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361). A Graveside Committal Service was held in Hillside Cemetery, Springhill, on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 with The Reverend Brieanna Andrews officiating.
