It is with great sadness that the family of the late Michael White announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Sunday, November 15, 2009 at the age of 74 years. He will be sadly missed by his special friend, Vera White of Stephenville; five brothers: Austin (Blanche) White of Stephenville Crossing, Mark (Sheila) White of Stephenville, Leo (Janet) White of Stephenville, Paul (Betty) White of Noels Pond, Gilbert (Donna) White of Stephenville; one sister, Gerona Brake of Stephenville and a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Martin C. and Mary Rita White; brothers: Terrence, Ralph, Herb and Cyril White; sister, Gertie Kays. Cremation has taken place and friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, November 18th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Parish, West Street, Stephenville with interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
