Margaret (Madge) Hackett of Calgary, born on September 2, 1918 in Fox Island River Newfoundland passed away at the Foothills Medical Centre on Friday November 13, 2009 at the age of 91 years. Margaret is survived by her brother Gerald Hynes of Benoits Cove, son Michael and her daughters Joyce (husband Bruce Kennedy) and Judith (husband Britton Mockridge). She has eight grandchildren, Alexander Hackett (wife Jaci), Peter Hackett (wife Charamaine), Barbara Hackett (Joey), Mary Schump (husband Jimmy), Howard Hackett (wife Wanda), Tracy Colville (husband Kevin), Lisa March (husband Clifford) and Michael Hackett (wife Amanda). She has eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband Ignatius, her sons Howard and David as well as her daughter-in-law Margaret, wife of Michael, her son. Relatives and friends were invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Pius X Catholic Church (2424 - 24th Avenue N.W.) on Monday, November 16, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Pius X Catholic Church (2424 - 24th Avenue N.W.) on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
