1914 ~ 2011

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sarah Evelyn Ward on December 18, 2011.

Sarah was born in Kamloops on December 16, 1914 and lived most of her life in the Kamloops area, growing up on ranches near Savona. In the last few years Sarah made her home at the Pine Grove Care Center.

She was predeceased by her husband Sidney in 1976. Also by her parents Muir and Emma Watson and nine brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her loving children, Elsie (Bob) Bentley, John (Pearl) Ward, Dan (Angela) Ward, Ruth (Bob) Black, Joe (Elaine) Ward and 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, three great great-grandchildren and one sister Violet Ewashina.

Sarah was known for her love of life, she loved going to garage sales, family gatherings and she especially loved Christmas. She will be missed this year by all her family and friends.

We would like to give a special thank you to the staff and volunteers at Pine Grove Care Center for their care of Mom.

A Memorial Celebration will be held at the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel, 285 Fortune Drive on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 1:00 p.m
