My Shaky Friend
I had a shaky buddy
But what a friend he was to me
It was a kind of sickness
That was of the dizzie type
You know the kind
The one where he stagger like drunk
He got this dizziness when he was 14 years old
He was shaky and he talked funny
But over the years did he ever show me a thing or two
He had more beauty in little finger than I’ll ever had
If anybody fell down as many times as he did they would never get up
Not Rob, he get back up, give you a beautiful smile
A little laugh and get back on those legs again
He never felt sorry for himself
Every birthday or Christmas he be there giving money
To try to make me, you happy
But time kind of went out on Rob
Being sick like he was, time was out a little quicker
The last time he got sick, he looked up at me
With these big eyes from the hospital bed and said he was real sick
Every other time he made it home
This time he had a real battle
And this time was not strong enough
