Robert Wayne Doucette

DOUCETTE, ROBERT WAYNE - Robert Wayne Doucette of Saint John passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2011 at Bobby's Hospice, following a battle with leukemia. Born at Saint John on May 12, 1954, he was a son of the late Edward Arthur and Lillian Mae (Sheehan) Doucette. Wayne served in the Royal Canadian Navy for 5 years, and subsequently moved to Vancouver where he was employed in the computer technology field, and also taught music. He loved to read, and played and recorded with a band while living in Vancouver. Wayne is survived by a daughter, Melanie; his siblings, Katherine Kincade (Larry), Dawn Doucette, Paul Doucette (Cathy), Pauline Scopie (Kenny Ferron), Terry Cullins (Howard), Ernie Doucette, and Beth Mulherin (Randy), all of Saint John; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Wayne was predeceased by a brother, Arthur Edward Doucette, and by a sister, Deborah Doucette.
Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday, December 26, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 12:00 Noon from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at a later date in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
