It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of our wonderful daughter, mother, sister and friend, Catherine ‘Holly’ Nicholson, on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009.
Cathy was a daughter of Jack and Dorie Nicholson, mother of Angela (Adam) Wierstine, grandmother to Mackayla and Fraser, sister to Darlene Nicholson (Clarie), Darrell (Debbie) and Jack, all of Glace Bay, and Cindy (Chris) Watts, Ontario.
She will be greatly missed by nieces and nephews, Kevin and Jason, Jessie and Jacklyn, Glace Bay, Jamie, Jeremy, Joel and Andrew, Ontario.
Cathy loved being around her friends and family; loved fishing, drawing and always had a wonderful outlook on life.
She had been employed with Stream in Glace Bay.
With heavy hearts, we honour her wish to be cremated. The funeral, under the direction of Curry’s Funeral Home, will be held Friday, 1:30 p.m. in St. John the Baptist Church.
Donations in Cathy’s memory may be made to a charity of choice.
