GRIGGS, DOLORES - With sadness the family announces the passing of Dolores Griggs, loving wife of the late John Griggs, which occurred on Saturday, December 24, 2011 at Kennebec Manor. Born 1929 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Florence (Doucette) McLaughlin. Dolores had a love of animals and enjoyed crocheting and camping. She is survived by her son, David (Judy) Griggs, of Fredericton; daughter, Myrna (Michael) Goguen, of Saint John; six grandchildren, Kimberly (Peter), Korey (Lindsie), Laura (Corey), Timothy (Megan), Jaret and Claire; and one great-granddaughter, Madison; brother, Roy McLaughlin (Eleanor), of Rothesay; and a sister, Norma (Dave) Beckwith, of Nauwigewauk; several nieces and nephews and special friend, Kay O’Brien. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Irene Vienneau.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). By request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will be held in Ocean View Memorial Gardens on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 11 am.
