FOSTER, JOAN CLAIRE - The death of Joan Claire Foster, 86, of Shediac and formerly of Port Elgin, occurred at The Moncton City Hospital on December 25, 2011. Born in Southport, PEI, Joan was a daughter of the late Harold and Sigrid (Sundby) Oulton. Joan will be sadly missed by a daughter, Natalie (Paul) Smith, of Charlottetown; two sons, Bobby (Joanne) Foster, of Shediac and Ricky (Betty) Foster, of Grand Barachois; four grandchildren, David, Chris, Graham, and Caroline; three great-grandchildren; a very special niece, Nancy Foster; many nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 33 years, John, in 1985, and a son, Stephen in 2009.
Honouring Joan's wishes, her remains have been cremated under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, Port Elgin (538-2241). There will be no visitation or service. Those wishing to make donations, may do so to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital. www.jonesfuneralhome.ca
