CHAFE, William J. — Passed peacefully away on December 24, 2011, at the Glenbrook Lodge. William J. Chafe, age 86. Predeceased by his wife Nellie (nee Boone); daughter Colleen Quirke (nee Chafe); and grandson Douglas Chafe. Leaving to mourn Mary Chafe, Lillian Delacey and family; sons David (Pat), Stephen (Judy), and Danny (Debbie); nine grandchildren Stephen, Shannon, Natasha, Ashley, Jamie, Shawleen, Albert, Patricia, and Valance; six great grandchildren Noah, Jamie, Amber, Caitlyn, Sarah, and Mackenzie. Many loving nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends, as well as the staff of Glenbrook Lodge. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Wednesday, December 28th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place from Corpus Christi Church on Thursday December 29th at 11:30 a.m. Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Topsail Road. No flowers by request, donation maybe made to Glenbrook Lodge or the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #1, Blackmarsh Road.
