Passed peacefully away at the Health Science Centre on Tuesday, December 27, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer, John Joseph Howlett, age 72. Predeceased by his wife Elizabeth Howlett (nee O’Brien); sisters Eileen, Katherine and Sr. Rita; and brothers Anthony and Austin. Left to celebrate his life and cherish his memory are his daughter Kim (husband Max Cristin); son Keith (fiancé Kelly Grimes); and granddaughter Chiara Cristin. Also left with a life time of wonderful memories are his sister Mary Fardy and brothers Vincent and Denis, plus a very large circle of family and friends. The family wish to say a very special thank you to the Fardy family for all their support during this difficult time and to the staff at the Health Science Centre for their wonderful care over the past months. At John’s request cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. Donations in John’s memory can be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre.
