Adam’s parents, Edward and Gail, would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to their family and friends for the outpouring of love, prayers and generosity over the past several months.

Thank you to the hundreds of people who attended the celebration of Adam’s life from across Canada and as far away as Egypt. You have proven to us that Adam was as special to you as he has always been to us. To Pastor Shawn Bowers for helping us plan the service and to Pastor Paul Bailey, Adam’s uncle, who delivered the message. To Father Maurice O’Quinn and Pastor Tyrone Ball who attended the service in support of the family. To Mrs. Evelyn Davis, Adam’s Grade 2 teacher and as he so often referred to her “my girl”, for the glowing tribute she delivered in Adam’s honour. To his cousins Erika, Kayla and Zach who put together a slideshow in Adam’s memory and arranged the music for the service. To Craig Saunders, Al Roberts, Roland Dalley and to Russell’s Funeral Home for the services they provided.

To his close friends Chad Young, George Dollard, Dave Dominey, John Bragg, Brad Lee, Jason Mulrooney and his brother Kelsey who were pallbearers; his friends Mikey Bennett and Justin King for the heartfelt songs they shared; to his friend Donald Winsor who read the scripture; and to his good friend Tara Ryan for being there for us. It is comforting to know Adam meant as much to you as we know you meant to him.

To Barb Laydon and Rhonda Boyd for giving of your time in putting together the photo collages. We can’t tell you how much we appreciate your eagerness to help on a second’s notice. Words cannot express our gratitude to Zion Pentecostal Women’s Ministries for the refreshments served to our many friends and family after the service, as well as to those who sent flowers, donations and meals to our home. To Bernard Smith with Peek-A-Boo Tattoo, Adam proudly displayed your impeccable talent and now, in his memory, so does many of his family and friends. Thank you for your generosity.

To the Emergency Response Team and to the doctors and nurses at the Northern Lights Regional Health Center in Fort McMurray as well at the Critical Care Unit, University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton, we will be forever grateful for your compassion and encouragement.

What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others remains and is immortal.

Adam will live on with us through
our memories and in our hearts forever.
