It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gladys Alma Hillier announce her passing on Thursday November 19th, 2009, at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, in her 93rd year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children; daughter; Mrs. Winnie Chaulk of Lewisporte, her sons; Reginald (Melva) of Deer Lake, George (Melinda) of Sheet Hr, NS, Edwin (Eileen) of Bay D\'espoir, William (Colinette) of Ottawa, Ontario, Monty (Yvonne) of Fort McMurray, Alberta. Her sister; Mrs Mabel Rideout of Ontario. Her 18 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild. Gladys was predeceased by her husband; Reginald Hillier Sr, her parents; Elizabeth and Timothy Reid, sisters; Winnie Reid, Dora Brown, Katherine Goosney, Maude Reid, Dorothy Simmonds and Sarah Roberts, brothers; Roy Reid and George Reid. Also leaves to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, family and friends. The family will be receiving family and friends from the hours of 2–4 and 7–9 on Sunday, November 22nd, 2009 and on Monday morning November 23rd, 2009, for family only, from the hours of 10–12, from Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Salvation Army building fund in Glady’s memory and would be gratefully appreciated by the family. The funeral service will take place from the Salvation Army Church in Deer Lake, on Monday November 23rd, 2009, at 2 pm with the Majors: Wayne and Betty Ann Pike officiating with the burial to follow at the church cemetery, Wights Road, Deer Lake.
