MUISE, Bernadette Marie – 69, Pont du Marais Boarding Home, Lower West Pubnico, passed away very suddenly at Yarmouth Regional Hospital on December 21, 2011. Born in East Quinan, she was a daughter of the late Abel and Cécile (LeFave) Muise. She is survived by her sister, Anne Marie (Bob) Frotten, North Easton, Mass.; brothers, Edward, Lower West Pubnico, and Hector (Marguerite), Dartmouth; sisters-in-law, Ella Muise, Patricia Muise and Albertine Muise-Joyce. She was predeceased by sisters, Jeanette Doucette and Pauline Surette; brothers, Walter, Bernard and Delbert. Bernadette participated in programs at the K. Nickerson Adult Service Centre in Yarmouth for over 15 years. Her unique sense of humor brought joy and laughter to family and friends. She was also well known for her “thank-you” speeches. Visitation took place from 7-9 Monday evening, with prayers at 8 p.m. at H. M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, 29 Albert Street, Yarmouth. The funeral mass was held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, December 27 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Quinan, Father Gregory Sampson, CJM, officiated. Interment followed in the parish cemetery. It was requested that there be family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the K. Nickerson Adult Service Centre. The family would like to thank Joan, Charlene, April and staff at Pont-du-Marais for the loving care provided for the past 24 years.
