MACKINNON, Sharon Ruth - 62, of Pembroke, passed away December 27, 2011, at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born January 9, 1949, in Acaciaville, Digby Co., she was a daughter of Mary (Comeau) Poole and the late Fred Poole. Sharon enjoyed many hobbies, but she loved to play Bingo and pick cranberries. Besides her mother, she is survived by husband, Hughie; daughter, Tammy (Kevin) Nickerson, Wellington; sons, Tim (Carol), Yarmouth; Leonard (Samantha), Drayton Valley, Alberta; Daniel (Sharon), Halifax; six grandchildren and many brothers and sisters. Besides her father, she was predeceased by sister, Wilma Poole. Cremation has taken place under the direction ofSweeny’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, Yarmouth. A memorial service was held Friday, December 30 at 3 p.m. from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. A.D. “Bill” Newell officiated. A private family interment followed.
