EDWARDS, RAPHAEL (Ray) — formerly of Lawn, Placentia Bay passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 1st, 2012 at the Palliative Care Unit, Dr. L.A. Miller Centre, in St. John’s with family members at his side. Ray leaves to mourn two sons, one daughter and four grandchildren. Paul and Sonya in St. John’s and Michael in Toronto.
Ray’s parents, Jim and Bloss, well known residents of Lawn, predeceased him several years ago as well as his brother Jim and two sisters Mona McDougall and Adell Kearney. He also leaves one sister Anne Loder of West Vancouver and three bothers Joe, Doug and Ernest all of St. John’s, as well as many nieces and nephews.A vigil will be held in Lawn on Monday evening at the Lawn Catholic Parish Church followed by a funeral mass at 2:00pm on Tuesday.
