It is with great sadness that the family of the late Linda Barry (nee Whalen) announce her passing on Saturday, December 31st, 2011 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 63 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories : her husband of 46 years, Gordon; son: Jarvis (Nancy); grandchildren: Jake (Krista), Jade (Megan), Jessica, Stephanie (Chris) and Samantha (Rodger); great granddaughters: Natalie and Krystal; sisters: Lorraine (Russell), Jennifer (Doug) and Wanda (Hazen); brothers: Robert (Cynthia) and Jamie (JoAnn); brothers and sisters-in-law: Percy, Sheila, Margaret, Alveena, Aiden, Marina, Joey, Josephine, Loretta, Delia, Wayne, Ronnie and Terry; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents: James and Mary Whalen; mother-in-law: Nora Barry; father-in-law: William Barry and sister-in-law: Geraldine Legge. Private family visitation was held from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing. Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 3rd at 2:00 p.m. from St. Joseph’s Parish, Heatherton, Father Terry Boland officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
