Passed peacefully away at the Notre Dame Health Care Centre on Monday, December 26, 2011, Mrs. Clara Maria Lawrence, age 99 years, of English Harbour West. Leaving to mourn her loving family: sons, Edwin (Paula) at St. John’s and Herman (Alfreda) at Trenton, ON; daughters, Annie Bishop at English Harbour West, Una (Daniel Wilcox) at Sydney, NS, Winnie (Eric Keats) at Merritts Harbour and Irene Lawrence at St. John’s; twenty grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren; plus a number of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband, Edwin; sons, Victor and Joseph; daughter, Stella; grandson, Jason; son in law, Garland; parents, Joseph and Mary Ann Bullen; brothers, Joseph, Willie John and Isaac Bartlett, sisters, Evelyn Lawrence and Ethel Pike.
Funeral service was held on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 2:00 pm from St. Thomas Anglican Church in English Harbour West with Rev. Roy Simms officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery in English Harbour West.
