It is with great sadness that the family of late Clarence Isaac Higdon announce his passing at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Center on Monday January 2, 2012 at the age of 88 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Pearl, children Dora White (Eric) of Corner Brook, Beatrice Stanley (Gordon) of Lloydminister, Alberta, Clarence Higdon (Glenda) of Fort McMurray, Alberta, Ruby Moss (Wade) of Deer Lake, Stan Higdon (Debbie) of Happy Valley Goose Bay, Labrador, Joy Macdonald (Joe) or Deer Lake, Dave Higdon (Sharon) of Corner Brook, daughter-in-law Olly Higdon, sisters Joyce Cumby (Stanley) of Hope All, Trinity Bay, Jean Higdon (Ronald) of Dildo, Trinity Bay, brothers Albert Higdon (Winnie) of Roberts Arm, also a circle of 16 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is predeceased by parents Levi and Fanny Higdon, brother Charles, and sister Shirley Greeley. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 from 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday January 4, 2012 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Thursday January 5, 2012 at 2 p.m. from the First Pentecostal Church on Premier Drive with Pastor Velmer Bessey officiating, interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to The Forget Me Not Cenetaph Fund in honor of Clarence Higdon, or a charity of one’s choice.
