GALLANT, JOHN "JACK" - The family of John Francis “Jack” Gallant, loving husband of Shirley Anne (Mullin) Gallant, regrets to announce his unexpected passing on Tuesday January 3, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born 1942 in Saint John he was the son of the late John and Elizabeth Gallant. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother Donnie Gallant. He was a carpenter and a jack of all trades. Jack was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and was an accomplished gardener. He will be sadly missed by his family and all who knew him. Besides his loving wife Shirley Anne of 48 years, he is survived by his children Jacqueline Donovan (Michael) of Quispamsis, Brad Gallant (Trish) of Grove Hill, Steven Gallant (Tina) of Saint John and Chris Gallant (Andrea) of Rowley; grandchildren Christopher, Keith (Karen), Candice and Shawn, great grandson Brayden; mother-in-law Marjorie Mullin of Saint John; brothers Steve Gallant (Rose) and Wayne Gallant both of Saint John; sisters Phyllis Green of Upperton, Patsy Gray of Saint John and Linda Whitzell (Pat) of Quispamsis; brother-in-law Joe Mullin (Kathryn) of Saint John; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
