The death occurred at the Atlantic Baptist Home on Tuesday, January 3, 2012, of Mr. Edward Joseph "Ted" Gallant of Charlottetown in his 76th year. Son of the late Benjamin and Ursilla (Martin) Gallant. He is survived by his wife Patsy, his brothers Desmond (Joanne) of Charlottetown, John of Ontario, his sisters Olive Clarkin of Stratford, Jean Rajana of Ontario and special nephew David (Theresa) Clarkin. He was predeceased by his brother Tom, sister Mildred (Ouch) Lawlor, and brothers-in-law Eugene Clarkin and Andy Rajana. Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 9:45 on Thursday morning, then transferred to St. Dunstan's Basilica for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment will take place later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
