Peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 3, 2012, of Mary Pickard of Charlottetown, age 74 years. Beloved wife of the late John (Jack) Pickard. She was born to Dolly and Gerald Fleming of Hope River and at a early age she
went to live with Leander and Florrie Reid of Hope River.
Mary is survived by sons - Peter Croken (Lori) of Ayr, ON, Mike Squires (Nancy) of Moncton, N.B. and Elliott Driscoll (Debra) of Baltimore, MA; stepson - Steve Pickard (Norah); grandchildren - Paige, Summer, Emilie,
Kathleen, Laura, India, Liam and Chris; brothers - Bob Fleming (Ann) of Stoney Creek, ON and Richard Fleming (Irma) of Kildare, PE; sisters - Marie Croken of Charlottetown and Helen Ash (Sinclair) of Courtenay, B.C.; sisters and brothers-in-law, the Hon. Marion Reid, Louis Reid, Barbara Fleming, Al
Roach and Doug Trewin; her close friend Mary Good and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her stepson - Michael Pickard; grandson - Shaun Pickard; sister - Isabel Reid; brothers - Lea and Robert Reid and Jimmy Barlow; siblings - Betty Trewin, Edward Fleming, Adele Roach and Ronnie
Fleming and her brother-in-law, George Croken.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., for visitation on Thursday, January 5, 6-9 p.m. only. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on
Friday, January 6, at St. Dunstan's Basilica at 10 a.m. Interment will follow later at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
