LANDRY, LEONEL - It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Leonel Landry of Memramcook Lake on January 4, 2012 at the Dr Georges L. Dumont university hospital center at the age of 59 following a long courageous battle with cancer. Born on March 13, 1952 in College Bridge, he was the son of the late Emery Landry and the late Maria Bourgeois. Leonel was a Boilermaker by trade and was an enthusiast of motor, ski doo and bike racing and having built his own race car. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 34 years, Vianna, his sister Hélène (Charles) Boudreau of Gayton’s, four brothers Bernard (Margaret) of Surrey, BC, Alphé (Norma) and Victor (Suzanne) both of College Bridge and Raoul (Murielle) of Breau’s Creek, his mother-in-law Pamela (late Adelard Jan 2, 2012) LeBlanc, one sister-in-law Viola (Jean) Belliveau and by several nieces and nephews: Brenda, Stéphane, Chantel, France, Joel, Vicki, Jocelyne, Janica, Gabrielle, Janelle and Josée.
Visitation will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home on Friday, January 6 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Saturday, January 7 from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Funeral mass will be held at St-Thomas de Memramcook church, St-Joseph on Saturday, January 7 at 11:00 am. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
