Andrew David Power, 25, of Bedford, N.B., passed away April 27, 2008, in Mal%C3%A9, Maldives, after a brief illness. Born in Summerside, he was the son of Canon Robert and Theresa Power. He is survived by his parents; a sister, Anne, Dartmouth, N.S.; girlfriend, Pamela Gillespie, of Grand Falls, N.B.; grandparents Lloyd and Dorothy Power, Dartmouth, N.S.; Marjorie Benedict, Hantsport, N.S.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was a pilot employed by Kenn Borek Air Limited as first officer and was flying with the Maldivian Air Taxi Pte. Ltd. Co. in the Maldives. Visitation will be held Friday, May 9, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Cathedral Church of All Saints, Martello Street, Halifax. A service to celebrate Andrew's life will be held Saturday, May 10, at the Cathedral Church of All Saints at 11 a.m., the Rt. Rev. Susan Moxley officiating. Reception to follow in Worrell Hall at the Anglican Diocesan Centre. A memorial fund has been set up at the Royal Bank of Canada in Bedford, N.S., to establish a bursary in Andrew's memory at the Moncton Flight College. Donations may be made to any branch of the Royal Bank of Canada. It is requested that there be family flowers only.
