January 17, 1928 - December 22, 2011

With saddened hearts, we announce the passing of Eileen Boyd at 83 years old.

Born in Dalhousie Township, Lanark, Ont., to Orville and Gladys Scott, Mom came west after the war, settling in Kamloops. She took a job at the Top Hat Cafe, where she met her future husband. They were married November 28, 1953.

Left to cherish her memory, her most devoted and loving husband William (Bill) Boyd; son Ron Boyd and grandchildren Nicholas and Kaitlin Boyd; daughter Dian (Rhoddy) with grandsons Tyler Reed (Larissa) and Dustin Reed; son Ray Boyd (Jane) with grandsons Carlo (Kaylee) and Erick (Nikki); sister Helen and brother-in-law Ray Brost and family.

Affectionately known as Glady, to the Angels who cared for Mom during her last few years at Ponderosa Lodge 2nd floor and who were by her side when she succumbed to her battle with vascular dementia.

Cremation entrusted to Schoening Funeral Service.

A Celebration of Mom's Life will be announced at a later date.
