(Hicks/nee Whitehorne)– July 8, 1921 – January 3, 2012 Passed peacefully away at Chancellor Park, St. John’s on January 3, 2012, Nina Hatcher, R.N. Predeceased by her first husband, Rev. Beaton Hicks, second husband, Lloyd Hatcher and brothers and sisters, Rosalind Critch, Muriel Moores, Dorothy LeGrow, Neil Whitehorne, and Lloyd Whitehorne. She will be greatly missed by her loving children: Dave (Hope) Hicks, Les (Betty) Hicks, Beth (Doug) Noseworthy, Dorothy (Claude) Sullivan; grandchildren: Chris (Michelle), Todd, Stephen (Heather), Jennifer (Joey), Daryl (Julia), Kerry (Jon), Jaclyn (Paul), Sarah (Dave), Katie; and great grandchildren: Jesse, Taryn, Grace, Lauren, Will, and Robbie. Also leaving to mourn are her sister Joyce Pye, many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends. Cremation has taken place and visitation will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home, Hamilton Ave. on Thursday, Jan. 5th, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and Friday, Jan. 6th, 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. A memorial service will take place at Barrett’s Chapel on Friday, Jan. 6th at 4:00 p.m. Interment of ashes will take place at a later date.
