It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Catherine Elaine Foley, 57, of Truro Heights, on December 31st, 2011 at the Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro.
At the age of seventeen years, Cathy met her devoted partner and the love of her life Rod Lynk. They started their lives together in Truro; both working in the area for several years prior to co-managing the Irving in Bible Hill for eight years followed by their co-ownership of Rod Lynk’s Auto Clinic, for fifteen years. Cathy greeted their customers with a smile and took great pride in keeping the shop running smoothly.
Cathy had a kind and generous heart which was evident to those who knew her well. Cathy also had a love for animals; rescuing and caring for many over the years.
Cathy’s love for life was evident in everything that she did. Cathy enjoyed her opportunities for travel and adventure with family and friends. She had a passion for gardening and took great pride in her work and her home. Cathy spent many hours tending to her picturesque backyard of colourful plants and flowers. She enjoyed attending auctions while collecting classic and unique pieces for her home. Cathy most recently took up the art of stain glass and with her attention to detail, created several beautiful pieces.
Cathy is survived by and will be greatly missed by her husband of 40 years Rod Lynk and her baby Ginger; several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
