Myrtle Iona Kelley - 89, of Kentville, formerly of Sheffield Mills, Kings County passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2012 in Shannex - Orchard Court, Kentville. Born in Halls Harbour, Kings County, she was a daughter of the late Roland and Grace (Porter) Kaizer. She was a devoted wife, a beloved mother and a cherished aunt. She was a Life Member of the Sheffield Mills Women’s Institute and an active member of the Canard United Church, where she was a Life Member of the United Church Women. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Kelley, of both Bathurst, New Brunswick and New Minas, Kings County; a brother, Lyndon (June) Kaizer, Kentville; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Victor Ward Kelley; three sisters, Lila, Lee and Goldie and a brother, Milton. Cremation has taken place and there was no visitation, by request. A private family funeral service was held in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. Interment will take place at a later date in the Canard United Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to the Canard United Church or to a charity of your choice.
