REYNOLDS, Helen Louise – 86, of Arcadia, Yarmouth Co., passed away January 4, 2012 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Helen was born on December 20, 1925 in Halifax. She was a former member of Chebogue United Baptist Church. Currently, she attended New Heights Baptist Church, where she was also a member of the choir. During her working life, she had been employed by R.H. Davis and the Grand Hotel. Helen loved to play Scrabble and reading the Chronicle Herald daily. She also had a lot of love for her cat. She is survived by daughter, Betty (Sheldon) Poole, Yarmouth; grandchildren, Adam (Hannah) Poole, Ottawa; Christopher Poole, Yarmouth, Heather (Paul) Surette, Yarmouth; great-grandchildren, Jillian and Zachary Surette. She was predeceased by husband, Wilfred; foster sisters, Ruby Gallagher and Grace Sheridan. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation took place Sunday, January 8 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, where funeral service was held Monday, January 9 at 2 p.m., Rev. Craig Minard and Rev. Bev Densmore officiated. Interment followed in Chebogue Cemetery. Family flowers only, please. Donations in Helen’s memory may be made to New Heights Baptist Church or to a charity of your choice.
