NEW GLASGOW – It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Frances in her 96th year at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Margaret (MacLeod) MacNutt.
She moved to Hillside, Trenton, at an early age and spent the rest of her life there until entering the Glen Haven nursing home. She was involved in music for the most of her life as a piano player and soprano soloist. She was organist for the Stellarton Male Chorus for over 40 years. She was a valued employee in the accounting dept. of Hawker Siddeley (Canada Ltd.) for many years until her retirement. Her work and music was her life. She was a member of St. Andrews Church in New Glasgow. She enjoyed travelling with her husband and doing fine knitting and crocheting and was a lover of little dogs.
She was predeceased by her husband, Clarence in 2005.
She is survived by brother, John (Barbara) MacNutt, Truro, N.S.; also by nieces, Beverley (Keith) Snowdon and Vicki (Bruce) Pate; and nephews, John (Debbie) MacNutt and Allen (Linda) MacNutt.
Cremation has taken place. By her request no visitation. Private committal service at a later date at Heatherdale Memorial Gardens.
Donations may be made in her memory to S.P.C.A. or charity of choice.
