William E. Smith
William E. Smith, age 87, of Sackville, passed away peacefully at the Drew Nursing Home on Monday, Nov. 16, 2009.
Born in Sackville, he was a son of the late James and Mary (Pitman) Smith.
William was a veteran of WWII, serving with the RCAF Ground Crew in England for four years. He was a lifelong furniture maker.
He will be sadly missed by his wife, the former Catherine Marks, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Roy and Hubert, and sister Annie Hicks and Marion Allen.
Cremation has taken place under the care of the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville (506-364-1300). A Graveside Committal Service took place at the Sackville Cemetery on Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at 10 a.m., Rev. Jane Doull officiating.
