Peacefully at Wedgewood Manor, Summerside, on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, of Joseph Alfred "Freddy" DeCoste, formerly of St. Eleanors, aged 80 years. Alfred was born on April 6 1927, in Summerside, P.E.I., to his late parents John and Obeline (nee DesRoches) DeCoste. Loving brother of Augustine "Gus" of Summerside and Mary (Steve) Kovacs of Winnipeg, Man. Also lovingly remembered by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Freddy was predeceased by his sister Angie (Wilfred) Doucette and his brothers : Louis (Lena), John (Laura) , Charles (Lucy) and his sister-in-law Rose DeCoste. A memorial service will be held at the East Prince Funeral Home Chapel, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, on Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in St. Paul's Cemetery, Summerside. Memorial donations in Freddy's memory to the Wedgewood Manor Equipment Fund would be greatly appreciated.
