BAKER, Lynn (nee Proudfoot) — Passed peacefully away at the L.A. Miller Centre on Thursday, January 5, 2012 after a brief and courageous battle with cancer, Dorothy Lynn Baker, aged 55 years. Predeceased by her parents Lorne and Jean Proudfoot and her husband Harvey Baker. Leaving to mourn her loving and devoted daughter, Sheree (Rob Lockyer); her sister Susan Blanchard (Craig); very special aunt and cousin, Carol Butler and Brenda Holden (Keith); brother-in-law: Lester Baker (Barbara); sisters-in-law: Daphne Baker and Doreen Baker (Stan Mahar); nieces: Michaela Mahar, Allison Blanchard and Emma Holden; nephews: McKinley and Kienan Baker, as well as a large circle of family and friends. Cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving visitors at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Newman’s Cove on Sunday January 8, 2012 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held Monday, January 9, 2012 from St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Newman’s Cove at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
