BOLAND, Joan (nee Clarke) — Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family on January 4, 2012 at the Miller Centre Palliative Care Unit. Predeceased by her parents Jack & Isobel, brother Pat (Mary Agnes), sisters Carmel (Bernard Gosse) & Mary Cranford. Leaving to celebrate her 73 years of life are husband of 52 years Frank; sons Frank (Geraldine), Shawn (Barb), Mike (Frances) & Blair (Amanda); daughter Joanne Whelan; also brother-in-law and close friend Fred Cranford; brother-in-law Philip Boland (Margaret); sister-in-law Hannah Sears (Ray); 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Visitation at Broughton's Funeral Home, Brigus on Friday from 2 p.m.- 9 p.m., Saturday & Sunday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral service at St. Patrick’s Church, Brigus on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow.
