It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Alberta Moore age 59 of Glace Bay passed away at the Glace Bay Hospital on Friday, Jan. 6, 2012, after a courageous batter with cancer.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Tina (Peterson) Cluett. Alberta was everyone’s mother. She loved children and was a very kind and gentle lady. Alberta was a courageous lady during her illness.
Alberta will be sadly missed by her daughter, Tena Moore (Robb), long time companion, Dan and his son, Dave and family, brother, Jimmy Cluett; sisters, Martha ‘Tootsie’ and Frances; cherished grandchildren, Tylor and Dawsyn. Also surviving are treasured nieces, nephews, godchildren and many friends.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert; daughter, Alberta; sister, Laura and granddaughter, Gabrielle.
Visitation for Alberta will be held Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, 7-9 p.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Michael Goodfellow officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Donations in Alberta’s memory may be made to palliative care or the Cape Breton Cancer Center.
