Formerly of Lance Cove, Bell Island. Passed peacefully away on Saturday, January 7th, 2012 at the Health Science Centre. Predeceased by husband Bill Whitehorne; brother Nish Kent and Sister Mary LaSaga; and parents George and Elizabeth Kent. Leaving to mourn her children Bob (Maureen) of BC, Betty (Basil) of Torbay , Brian of Carbonear and Brad (Robin) of BC; grandchildren Lee and Bobbie Whitehorne, Justin, Robyn and Jordan Mahon, Cole and Sadie Whitehorne and their mother Tara, and Billy, Ben and Isaac Whitehorne; brothers and sisters Ita Dober (Albert), Tom Kent (Mary), George (Linda) Kent; brothers and sisters - in – law Jean (Joe) Burden, Bob (Sarah) Whitehorne, Daisy (Hubert) Amiravlt, Judy Blackmore and Lloyd (Mary Lou) Whitehorne. As well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, and those in Goose Bay and Gander. Special thanks to her caregivers Ruby and Yvonne. Visitation at Caul’s Funeral Home, Torbay, on Tuesday January 10, 2012 from 2 pm-4 pm and 7-9pm. Burial will take place in Gander, NL at a later date. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Evelyn’s memory.
