Anne was born at home on the family farm north of Esterhazy, Sk to Margaret and Frank Lippai on July 17, 1931, the first child in a family of 6 children. Her early years growing up on the farm were spent gardening, milking cows, picking berries, chopping and hauling wood, cooking in the summer kitchen, canning and helping to look after her younger siblings. Anne worked at Clement's General Store. It was there that she met her husband Hector Hamilton, (a seismic worker in the area) when he came in to buy socks. They were married November 9, 1953 in Esterhazy. In the spring of 1954 Hector and Anne began farming and ranching on the family farm south of Kyle. Anne's time on the farm was spent raising chickens, turkeys, ducks and geese and looking after very large gardens. Anne was an excellent cook as we can all attest. The family and friends enjoyed many meals around the big table and in the field. Anne loved canning, baking including wedding/anniversary cakes for family. Anne was a very talented artist and worked in all mediums. She won many ribbons and awards for her artwork and was a member of the Kyle Art Guild. She received a life-time membership recently. Anne was president of the Kyle Figure Skating Club for many years and received recognition for her involvement. She enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Kyle Golf Club. Anne was also talented at knitting, crocheting and sewing. She could do all of these without a pattern. We are still wearing many sweaters, toques and mittens made by Mom. Anne also loved music and could play the piano and violin by ear. Some of her favorite pastimes were gardening, bingo, fishing, picnicking, picking berries, traveling with her sisters to Minot and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving Anne are her children: Marcia (Doug) Howell, Bert (Georgina) Hamilton, Don (Sharon) Hamilton, Gwen (Bill) Bruvold; her Grand Children: Julianna, Cameron and Kelsey Howell, Kaylyn Hamilton, Alyssa (Mike), Carson (Amy) Hamilton, Zachary and Tanner Bruvold; her Siblings: Victor (Audrey) Lippai, Elvira (Dennis) Tochor, Francis (Morley) Seman, Bert (Elaine) Lippai, John (Linda) Lippai. She was predeceased by her parents Frank and Margaret Lippai; her Husband Hector Hamilton. The family would like to send out a heartfelt thank you to the many family, friends and caregivers at the Kyle District Health Centre and Swift Current Cypress Regional Hospital that shared in her life, friendship and provided support for her. In her memory, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 43 1st Ave. N.E., Swift Current, Sk. S9H 2A9 or the Canadian Diabetes Association, 917-A Albert St, Regina, Sk. S4R 2P4.
