MEUNIER, CLARA (née MARTIN) - (1937-2012) - LAKETON, NB - Clara Meunier, 74, of Laketon, NB passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent on Monday, January 9th, 2012. Born in Baie-Ste-Anne, she was the daughter of the late David and late Marguerite (Thibodeau) Martin. Clara was an avid bingo and card player (Bing). Clara will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 50 years; Adelard Meunier, three daughters; Elda Stafford (Bryan) of Fredericton, Lisa Robichaud (Réjean) of Calgary, AB, Rhéa Meunier of St. Louis, three sons; Douglas (Sylvia) of St. Louis, Roger (Nancy Johnson) of Richibucto, Raymond of Hamilton, ON, five grandchildren; Linda, Carol, Joline, Mario, Crystal, three great grandchildren; Milaine, Marissa and Maxime. Clara is also survived by three sisters; Laurette Manuel (Fabien) Baie-Ste-Anne, Ethel Richard (René) of Richibouctou-Village, Rolande Daigle (Real) of Hardwick and four brothers; Gérald (Dorothy) of St. Louis, Reginald of Baie-Ste-Anne, Sandy (late Evangeline) Baie-Ste-Anne and Roger of Baie-Ste-Anne and many nieces and nephews. Clara was predeceased by both her parents, four sisters; Henriette, Anna, Rina, Jeannette and four brothers; Euthrope, Maurice, Ronald and Donat.
Resting at Thompson Memorial Home, St. Louis de Kent with visitation on Wednesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, Thursday at noon until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 12th, 2012 at 2:00 pm, St. Louis des Français Roman Catholic Church, St. Louis de Kent. Interment will be in St. James Roman Catholic Cemetery, Kouchibouguac. If so desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
