1921 - 2009

Vyola Elizabeth Woods of Kamloops, BC passed away peacefully with both her sons at her side on November 24, 2009 at 88 years of age.

She is survived by her sons, Randall Woods of Vancouver and Jordan Woods of Kamloops; her grand children Barry and Donna Woods; and her brothers Basil and Joe.

She was predeceased by her husband Roland Millar Woods and her son Barry Woods.

Vyola was born in Martendale, PQ on April 20, 1921. She married Millar after WWII and moved around various RCAF Bases in Canada and Germany, retiring to Kamloops in 1967. She worked at Tranquille School as a Medical Records Librarian until the facility closed.

The Woods family would like to extend their deep appreciation to the residents and staff of Pinegrove Care Centre for making our Mom feel so welcome and keeping her so comfortable as she transitioned from this world into her eternal home.

Prayers will be recited for Vyola at Our Lady of Perpetual Help on Thursday, November 26, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 27, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, with Father Peter Nguyen officiating.
