September 28, 1916 - November 25, 2009. Passed peacefully away at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, November 25, 2009, Robert (Bob) James George of Whiteway, aged 93 years. Predeceased by his parents Charles and Elizabeth, siblings Albert, Henry Charles, Emily Jane, Madeline, and Nora, and his precious great-granddaughters Andrea and Becky Sparkes. Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted wife of nearly 60 years, Vivian (nee Whyatt) and their seven children: two daughters: Helen Sparkes (Gary), Elaine Drover (Jack) and five sons: James (Clara), Lloyd (Jackie), Robert (Jo-Anne), Darryl (Karen), Kevin (Catherinanne); twelve grandchildren: Rodger (Debra), Sherrie (Sheldon), Angela (Robbie), Gary (Annette), Jennifer (Chad), John (Sandra), Jason (Kristen), Christopher (Jennifer), Adam (Lisa), Jessica, Matthew and Sarah; fourteen great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Willowdeen Locke (George), as well as a number of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends. Bob was an employee of the A.N.D. Company for 21 years followed by 27 years with the Department of Highways. Bob was deeply devoted to his family and he worked tirelessly to express his love and care for all of us. Resting at Warren's Funeral Home, Dildo on Thursday, November 26th, from 2 to 5 PM and 7 to 9 PM. Resuming on Friday, November 27 at St. George the Martyr Anglican Church, Whiteway from 10 AM to 12 PM, 2 to 5 PM and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held at St. Andrew's United Church, Whiteway, on Saturday, November 28 at 1 PM. Interment to follow at St. George's Anglican Cemetery.
