Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital surrounded by her loving family on January 10th, 2012. Predeceased by her infant son Arnold, parents John and Julia Coady, and brothers: Robert Coady (Audrey) and Edward Coady. Leaving to mourn her loving husband of 50 years Arnold Chafe; three daughters: Jacqueline Whitten (Curtis), Susan Cuff (Robin), and Kimberley Chafe; seven grandchildren: Alicia, Trevor, Terri-Lynn, Kayla, Ashley, Travis and Kaitlyn; three great-grandchildren: Kamrin, Jaden and Mackenzie; two sisters: Mary Tilley (Joe), Marie Weir (Robert); sister-in-law Maureen Coady, special brother-in-law Frank L. Chafe; special niece Barbara Everard (Best); friend Nina Spurrell and also a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Thursday, January 12th, and Friday, January 13th, 2012 from 12 noon - 9 p.m. Funeral service to be held from St. George’s Anglican Church, Petty Harbour on Saturday, January 14th, 2012 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at St. George’s Anglican Cemetery.
