Charlotte (Goodman) MacLean
The family of the late Charlotte (Goodman) MacLean, whose funeral was held at St. Alban's Anglican Church December 5, 2011 would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere thanks to our family and many friends for their kindness shown to us during the loss of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister and friend. Thank you to all those who attended the wake and funeral and to those who could not, thank you for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers. The celebration was truly a wonderful tribute to Charlotte's life. Special thanks to Celebrant Reverend Arch Deacon Brenda Drake for her kind care and attention to Charlotte and to the very special service conducted in the company of many, many friends. Thank you to the congregation and choir of St. Alban's Church and for the post service tea. Everything was excellent. The family was very pleased to have Charlotte's second son, Mike Hussey, as her honorary Pallbearer. Charlotte loved you very much. Thank you to Laurell Martell and Aaron Lewis, soloists; Kathryn Gordon, pianist; Joe Waye, guitarist and Shawn P. MacDonald, violinist. Charlotte loved music of all kinds and the celebration of her life will never be forgotten from the music performed by these professionals and friends. Thank you to the readers, Charlotte’s niece, Sarah Goree and her grand-daughter Jessica MacLean, her pride and joy. How can we ever thank Miller and Bernadette Szeto and the staff at Peking Restaurant and the Management and Staff at Plaza Ford Sales Ltd? Their generosity and assistance was far beyond the norm. Thank you to Wayne Weatherbee, Charlotte's childhood friend and to Kolin Weatherbee and the staff at Sydney Memorial Chapel, for your care and attention. For almost six and a half years Charlotte was treated, counselled, nourished, hugged and yes also laughed and cried with her team of angels at the Cape Breton Cancer Centre, Ambulatory Care, Nuclear Medicine, XRay, Physio and finally An Cala Palliative Care Unit. Words cannot express our sincere thank you to all of her medical team; we will always treasure your friendship. Finally, we want to thank those who sent flowers, cards, emails, food and phone calls. Thank you also to those who sent donations to our CB Cancer Centre and the An Cala Palliative Care Unit as well various schools, churches, Loaves and Fishes, etc.
Thank you to all of our dear friends, neighbours and relatives who have been so helpful in this very trying time.
Charlotte and her radiant smile will never be forgotten.
With love,
Larry, L.J., Donna Marie, Jessica, Evelyn, Kim, Bernie, Sarah, Judy, George, Rebecca, Laura, Billy and Joanne.
