Passed peacefully away on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at her daughter’s residence, Hilda Marjorie Stone at the age of 91 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughters: Trudy (Darryl), Maxine (Alvin), Olive (Tom) and Irene (Tom); sons: Ellis (Dallas) and Ira (Sylvia); son-in-law Richmond; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband George, daughter Elsie, parents: Elijah and Mary Emily Stone, sisters: Henrietta, Dorcas, Eva, Stella and Nina, brothers: Walter, Wallace, Ernest and Charles. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Friday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Saturday 10-12 noon. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 14 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Curling with Rev. Karen Laldin officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Curling. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
