Age 89, passed away on Friday, December 30, 2011 peacefully in her chair at the Crown Ridge Nursing Home in Trenton, Ontario.
Born in Charlottetown, P.E.I., daughter of the late Harry and Mary (McGuigan) Cahill. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Maurice (Moe) Fortin, in 1994, and her infant son, Albert. Also predeceased by her brothers William, Louis, Arthur and Pius Augustine Cahill. She is survived by her six adult children: Maureen Perry (N.B.), Pat Mussieux (ON), Pauline (Wayne) Kroetsch (AB), Art (Sheila) Fortin (ON), Marc (Candy) Fortin (ON), and Gayle (Andy) White (ON); along with nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Helen has been cremated and her ashes will be taken to her home town, Charlottetown, P.E.I. for burial in the family plot sometime this summer.
