Helena Mary Farnsworth, 98 of the Cove Guest Home, formerly of Argyle Street, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2012 at the Cove Guest Home, Sydney.
Born in Bradford, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late John Thomas and Helena (Swift) Gillis.
She was a member of St. Anthony Daniel parish. Helena resided most of her life on Richardson Ave., Sydney. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was predeceased by her husband Russell Frederick in 1966, brother John Hugh in 1990 and a sister-in-law Marguerite.
Visitation for Helena Farnsworth will take place on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony Daniel Church with Rev. Donald MacGillivary officiating. Interment in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
