KITT, Dorothy Louise (nee Kirkpatrick)
July 20, 1941 – November 24, 2009
It is with great sadness that the family of Louise Kitt announce her passing on Tuesday, November 24, 2009. Louise was born on July 20, 1941 in Bawlf, Alberta. Their family moved to Prince Albert when she was a young girl. She completed her schooling in Prince Albert, after which graduating from Business College. Louise married Reg Kitt on May 19, 1962. They spent the next 47 years raising a family of three children. Left to mourn Louise’s passing are: her husband Reg; daughter Andrea (Martin) Ring and their children Trevor and Marley; daughter Margo (Terry) Maruschak and their children Jayson and Shane and son Brian (Raelene) Kitt. Also left to cherish her memory are her mother Dorothy Howard and her sisters Lyn Howard and Lorraine Mooney; step-brother Bill (Ardin) Howard and step-sisters Marlene (David) Burnett and Patricia (Perry) Baird along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mom was predeceased by her father Ralph Kirkpatrick, her step-father Gordon Howard, her father and ­mother-in-law, Roman & Pauline Kitt, as well as numerous brothers and sisters-in-law. Along with raising a family, mom worked as a Secretary/Bookkeeper for various employers. Mom enjoyed golfing, knitting, babysitting grandchildren and visiting with friends and family. A celebration of Louise’s life will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 30, 2009 at Calvary United Church, 114 – 25th Street East, Prince Albert SK with Avonda McKay officiating. A Private Family Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made in Louise’s name to the Victoria Hospital Foundation “Give a Little Life” Campaign. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
